Introducing the Essential Calm Line

Handmade skincare for sensitive, stressed, and reactive skin

We’re excited to officially launch the Essential Calm Line — a gentle, targeted trio created to help soothe and restore balance to skin that’s easily overwhelmed. Designed for those who deal with redness, dryness, or flare-ups (like I do), this line features calming ingredients chosen with intention, starting with one of my personal favorites: Centella asiatica.

Why Centella?

Centella has become an essential part of my own skincare routine. As someone who struggles with redness and sensitivity, I’ve found it to be one of the few ingredients that genuinely helps. It’s known for calming inflammation, supporting skin repair, and helping maintain a healthy skin barrier — all without irritation. When developing this line, I knew we had to build around it.

What’s Inside the Essential Calm Line

Essential Calm Face Serum
A lightweight, water-based serum made with aloe juice, Centella extract, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide. It was formulated to sink in quickly, hydrate deeply, and support skin that’s in need of a reset.

Essential Calm Face Cream
This cream uses a clean, vegan base enriched with Centella, hyaluronic acid, and algae extract. The algae is a quiet star in this formula — rich in vitamins and minerals, it helps nourish the skin while also providing a naturally calming effect. Together, these ingredients create a moisturizer that hydrates deeply, soothes irritation, and supports long-term skin resilience. Fragrance-free and gentle enough for daily use, this cream is a go-to for sensitive or barrier-compromised skin.

Essential Calm Healing Body Balm
Formerly a standalone favorite, this balm now has a home in the Essential Calm line. It’s rich, soothing, and deeply moisturizing — made with raw mango butter, rosehip oil, French green clay, and a refreshing botanical scent blend featuring eucalyptus and tea tree.

One Curated Favorite

While most of the Essential Calm experience is handmade here in Buffalo, there’s one curated product I always recommend to customers with sensitive skin:
Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Calming Pads.
They’re pre-soaked toner pads made with pure Centella extract, and they’ve earned a permanent place in my personal routine. I use them anytime my skin needs a break or a boost of calm — especially before applying our Calm Serum.
