Rain, Roses, and Body Butter: Mother’s Day Market at Life Is Succulent
Yes, it rained all day. Yes, it was still kind of perfect.
Today we were back at Life Is Succulent for their special Mother’s Day Market — and let’s just say the weather had zero chill. It rained. Not a sprinkle, not a drizzle. A full, moody, all-day soak. But honestly? It didn’t put a damper on a thing.
We were surrounded by amazing vendors (and their rainproof setups), returning customers, curious newcomers, and plenty of Mother’s Day energy. We even got to chat with Kristin, the owner of Life Is Succulent, and her mom — which felt especially fitting for the day. The shop itself was warm, welcoming, and packed with beautiful plants and people — it was the kind of event that made you feel lucky to be part of a small business community.
And today, our handmade products were the stars of the table.
We officially launched our new Face & Body Oil, and the response was immediate. The Bright Botanical scent — fresh, floral, and citrusy with a touch of Regina sass — was a clear favorite. But we also had plenty of love for the Unscented version, which is gentle, clean, and perfect for sensitive skin or scent-free routines.
We also debuted our newest body butter scent: Lemongrass & Lavender. It’s fresh, calming, and just the right kind of earthy — like if a spa day and a spring garden had a baby. It quickly became a new fan favorite, with customers coming back to tell us how much they loved the texture and smell.
Despite the weather, we spent the day laughing with customers, swapping tips with other vendors, and watching people light up... when they found a scent or product that spoke to them. These markets are never just about sales — they’re about connection, care, and showing up with something that feels thoughtful and real.
So yes, it rained. But honestly? We’d do it again in a heartbeat.
(Though next time, we might bring a second tarp.)
